Article 1 These Rules are formulated in accordance with the Measures of Guangdong Province for the Public Recruitment of Public Institutions in order to standardize the physical examination of public recruitment personnel in public institutions and ensure that public recruitment personnel have the physical conditions to perform their duties normally.

Article 2 These Rules shall apply to all kinds of institutions in this province, except those managed by reference to the Civil Service Law.

Article 3 The recruitment of staff in public institutions shall be implemented with reference to the General Standard for Physical Examination of Open Recruiters in Public Institutions in Guangdong Province (see Annex 1).

Teachers' posts shall be implemented according to the Physical Examination Standard for Applicants for Teacher Qualification in Guangdong Province (revised in 2007) (see Annex II).

Where there are uniform provisions in laws, regulations, rules or national industry authorities, those provisions shall prevail.

Article 4 Physical examination shall be organized and implemented by institutions or their competent departments in a unified and centralized manner. The expenses required for physical examination shall be paid by the institution or its competent department in the annual budget.

Article 5 The physical examination objects shall be determined from high score to low score according to the number of candidates to be employed and the comprehensive test scores of candidates specified in the recruitment plan. If the medical examination object gives up the medical examination or there is a vacancy in the recruitment position due to unqualified medical examination, it can be replenished in equal amount among the interviewers in the same position according to the comprehensive score of the examination from high to low.
