The research and extension center of new agricultural technology of Guangxi Institute of Botany was formerly an introduction and cultivation research group composed of fresh graduates from four universities. It was established in 1954, and 1989 officially became a research laboratory independently. The main research direction of this discipline is to carry out the investigation, collection, preservation, introduction and domestication of wild plant resources and breeding of excellent varieties.
