1, ship design

This line is divided into submission design and production design. I know little about the design submitted for review. However, in this respect, it is often necessary to be trained and have a systematic understanding of the evaluation requirements of the corresponding classification societies and the calculation of ship stability. Production design is the process of turning drawings into construction drawings after they are submitted for approval. The best thing is that it can be made into the bow and stern line, and then the design is made in sections. Third, structural design. A graduate majoring in hull, after six months to one year's practical work, is basically qualified for the structural design of general ship types. However, to achieve subsection design, we need to accumulate and improve the corresponding experience.

2, hull repair, shipbuilding supervisor

Or the workshop director or something. It refers to the organization and coordination of repair and hull construction in ship yards, as well as the simple process and inspection of repair. You are responsible for arranging the construction of the project and submitting it to the hull for inspection.

3. The quality inspection department and technical department (or technical department) of the shipyard.

Mainly used for process or inspection.

4. Owner's representative

Provide maintenance and supervision services for foreign shipowners to repair and build ships in China. The technical requirements are lower than those of the above occupations, but the foreign language requirements are high, and it is necessary to travel all over the country.

5. Hull inspection

Evaluating companies or classification societies. Same as above, you need a foreign language and some experience.

Four or five of the above occupations require higher skills and experience. The rest is easy to get started, but it still takes considerable effort to get ahead.

In addition, in this industry, education is often not the most important. In fact, as long as your major is strong enough and you pass the foreign language exam, that's enough.

One of my colleagues is currently engaged in hull design. I worked in several shipyards for 9 years before. Now the salary is generous (the annual salary is at least 200 thousand, I'm not sure how much). This person has a technical secondary school education and only knows how to speak foreign languages.
