After September of the Republic of China (15), he served as the company commander in the Fourth Independent Division of the Northern Expedition Army and the 49th Division of the Kuomintang Army.

In the 20th year of the Republic of China, he was dismissed from his post and kept in detention until he was released home in April of the following year. Since then, Shen Donghai has intensified, taking Huzhong Village as his nest, assembling reactionary forces, fighting soldiers and bandits, and doing evil.

In the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933), after the Second Company of the 19th Route Army arrived in Zhao 'an, it besieged the eastern part of Shen Donghai.

In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), the "Minbian Revolution" perished, and the 19th Route Army Company stationed in Zhao 'an withdrew. Shen Donghai became a group of "Minnan Rebels". Soon Shen Donghai was appointed as the captain of the independent brigade of the Security Command of the Fifth Administrative Office of Fujian Province, and besieged the Red Army guerrillas many times and destroyed the revolutionary base areas.

In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), he led a team to encircle the Su Pu area of Jinghe River. In Pinghe Ouliao Pujian Mountain, he was hit hard by the third regiment of the Independent Division of Minnan Red Army, and Shen Donghai was injured and fled.

In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), on July 16, Shen Donghai led the security team and more than 50 armed men in the lake, attacked Zhongyunyun and the enlarged meeting of the county party committee being held in Yuegang, Zhao 'an, killed Luo Guiyan, a member of the county party committee, and kidnapped Sharla Cheung, acting secretary of the Fujian-Guangdong border special committee, and Yunhe county party committee cadres. Shen Donghai is the chief culprit of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong Incident" in Zhao 'an.

In the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939) 165438+ October, Japanese puppet troops invaded Zhao 'an, and Shen Donghai led a team to escape. After Chen Yinzu, the county magistrate, tipped off the Kuomintang provincial government and suspected that Shen Youtong had the enemy's situation, Chen Yi, the provincial chairman, immediately ordered Qian, the commander of the 20th division of the Kuomintang, to send someone to investigate. Shen Donghai was finally trapped and taken to Pinghe West for execution.
