The school originated from Wenzhou Agricultural Technology School in Zhejiang Province and was established in August. 1950. In February 2000, Wenzhou Agricultural Science Research Institute, Wenzhou Vegetable Science Research Institute and Wenzhou Agricultural School merged to form Wenzhou Agricultural Science Research Institute; In February 2008, wenzhou vocational college of science was established on the basis of Wenzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
