In this paper, a multi-functional commercial vehicle is taken as the object, the multi-body dynamic model of the whole vehicle system is established by using ADAMS/Car, and the EPS control system is established in Matlab. Using the combination of MATLAB and ADAMS software, the electric power steering control system is combined with the vehicle model, and the closed-loop control is formed between the mechanical subsystem and the control subsystem by using the interface provided by ADAMS/Controls, and the complex electromechanical integration real-time simulation is carried out. Using the advantages of the two softwares, the problems of too many degrees of freedom of vehicle model and too complicated algorithm of EPS control system are solved. Applied to practice, it can greatly reduce the development cycle and cost of vehicle control system. 1. Vehicle multi-body model is the premise of joint simulation, and the established multi-body model should reflect the real vehicle structure. Therefore, the following principles should be followed when establishing the vehicle overall dynamic system model in ADAMS/Car: (1) Simplify the important parts as much as possible when establishing the dynamic model, simplify the minor parts without affecting the system accuracy, reduce the degree of freedom as much as possible and improve the solving efficiency. (2) Except the tire, damping element, elastic element and rubber element, all other components are regarded as rigid bodies, and their deformation is not considered in the simulation analysis process; The spring-loaded mass is regarded as a rigid body with six degrees of freedom. (3) Properly simplify the connection flexibility between rigid bodies, and use linear elastic rubber bushing to simulate the dynamic characteristics under actual working conditions; Friction in each kinematic pair is ignored. (4) Because the engine module and braking system module are only used to control the vehicle speed, this paper adopts the engine and braking system module built in ADAMS/Car database. At the same time, the power transmission system is also simplified, and only the power transmission behind the half shaft is considered, that is, the driving torque is directly added to the driving half shaft. The multi-body dynamic model of a commercial vehicle created by ADAMS/Car is shown in figure 1, which consists of eight subsystems: suspension, body, steering, stabilizer bar, brake, transmission, tire and powertrain. (1) Steering system mainly includes steering wheel, steering shaft, steering column, steering transmission shaft, tie rod, rack-and-pinion steering gear, etc. In ADAMS, it can be established according to the corresponding connection relationship and the corresponding constraint pair. When establishing the steering system model, the steering column should be divided into two parts, and a rotating pair should be added to ensure that they can rotate relatively around its axis, and a torsion spring should be added at the disconnection point to make the stiffness of the torsion spring reach the effect of torsion bar spring, so as to accurately measure the torque exerted by the steering wheel during the simulation process. A force element is added to the steering rack to indicate the size of the assist. The initial value of the auxiliary function is set to 0, and the calculated value of EPS control system in MATLAB environment is read in real time by VARVAL function. (2) Body system: In order to simplify the modeling, the vehicle occupant and body are integrated into a model, and discrete particles are used to replace the continuum. The body model consists of five parts: no-load vehicle particles, driver particles, co-driver particles and occupant particles (4 people). By defining the mass of the co-pilot particle and the passenger particle, the carrying capacity of 1 ~ 6 passengers can be simulated respectively, and by defining the position of the center of mass of each particle, different mass distributions can be simulated.
