In the early 1950s, Liang Zhuohui served as the first coach of the national team until 1958. 2. Fu Qifang (1923~1968) was born in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province in 1923. Begun as head coach in 1958. During his tenure, Fu Qifang made it clear that he should stick to his own path and develop the traditional Chinese pen-hold fast-break style of play. Under his leadership, Rong Guotuan won the men's singles championship at the 25th World Table Tennis Championships in 1959 and became my country's first world champion.

3. Xu Yinsheng: born in Shanghai in 1938. His ancestral home is Suzhou, Jiangsu. In 1970, Xu Yinsheng became the second head coach of the national team after Fu Qifang, and was also in charge of the men's team. In 1971, the Chinese team, which had missed two World Table Tennis Championships, re-entered this grand event. In the end, he led the team to defeat Hungary, Sweden, Japan and other strong teams, and won the men's team championship trophy-Swaythlin Cup.
