Licensed pharmacists refer to pharmaceutical technicians who have passed the national unified examination, obtained the Professional Qualification Certificate of Licensed Pharmacists in People's Republic of China (PRC), and registered to practice in units that need to provide pharmaceutical services such as drug production, management and use.

Licensed pharmacists are professionals who are responsible for providing pharmaceutical knowledge and pharmaceutical services. Pharmacists are responsible for checking whether there are drug interactions between several drugs prescribed by doctors, and suggesting the most suitable dosage form and dosage for patients according to the patient's medical records and the doctor's diagnosis. At the same time, they will also teach patients what to pay attention to and how to take medicine.

It is clear that licensed pharmacists and Chinese pharmacists are collectively referred to as licensed pharmacists, and the qualification examination for licensed pharmacists is subject to national unified outline, unified examination, unified registration, unified management and classified practice. The Ministry of Personnel and the State Administration of Pharmaceutical Products are jointly responsible for the examination. The daily work is entrusted to the Licensed Pharmacist Certification Center of the State Administration of Pharmaceutical Products, and the specific examination work is entrusted to the Personnel Examination Center of the Ministry of Personnel to organize and implement.
