Last year, the Hunan Provincial Government planned to recruit 5,621 civil servants for 2,754 positions, including 104 from provincial agencies and directly affiliated units, 364 from provincial prisons and drug treatment units, 252 from municipal and state agencies, and 1,165 from county and city agencies. There are 2,642 people in township (street) agencies, 379 people in the court system, 214 people in the procuratorate system, and 501 people in public security agencies (including forest police), all of which have decreased to a certain extent compared with the previous year.

Last year, Hunan Province recruited 501 people for public security positions. Zhuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau recruited the largest number of people, accounting for 6.19 of the total number of provincial public security agencies recruiting; followed by Changsha Public Security Bureau, accounting for 5.99 of the total number of provincial public security agencies. Last year, the Hunan Provincial Examination Court recruited 379 people for 230 positions, an increase of 52 positions and 75 people compared with last year. The Changde Court System has the largest number of recruits, with 31 people, followed by the Anhua County People's Court, with 10 people.
