How to fuse photoelectric composite optical cable

With the development of optical fiber network, photoelectric composite optical cable is a new type of optical fiber sensing technology. At present, it is widely used in the field of data communication, but photoelectric composite optical cable is rare. However, with the maturity of optical fiber network development and more and more users choose optical fiber network, photoelectric composite optical cable has also been favored by the majority of users. But many people are not familiar with the welding operation of this product. Let's take a look at the welding process of photoelectric composite optical cable!

1, optical cable cutting

Optical fiber is used as the core material of photoelectric composite optical cable, and cladding technology is generally adopted (PE cladding technology is adopted at present). The coating materials are polyester, polyethylene and so on. When welding PVC optical cable, it is necessary to connect PE optical cable with heat shrinkable tape, so it is necessary to shrink when cutting. First, cut an incision on the optical cable with a special cutter, and polish and trim the edge to reach the appropriate optical cable size (generally, the diameter is 1.2mm~ 1.5mm). Secondly, when cutting optical fiber, it should be noted that the length direction and cutting depth of the core material of the optical cable are consistent with the size of the optical cable. When cutting, use small scissors to cut the optical fiber core material into a length of about 10cm, and then wrap a layer of rubber tape around the optical cable to prevent cutting, and finally seal the optical cable. Finally, insert a wooden stick at the knife edge with pliers to fix the optical cable, and then shrink the optical cable with heat shrinkable tape.

2, photoelectric cable welding

Insert both ends of the photoelectric cable into the plug box, then insert them into the corresponding slots of the plug box and fix them on the optical fiber with silicone or rubber plugs. Drill a small hole in the optical fiber for positioning. If the photoelectric cable is fixed in the small hole, stick a layer of adhesive tape on the positioning cable. At the same time, a silica gel pad is placed at the upper end of the small hole to prevent the positioning cable from falling off when knotting. Compared with optical cable, optical cable is exposed to air for a long time, which is prone to aging phenomenon, leading to its aging and falling off. Therefore, when welding optical cables, we must pay attention to protecting the fiber core and its auxiliary materials on the optical cables to avoid damage or oxidation of the optical fibers. In order to avoid the rapid temperature rise on the optical fiber, attention should be paid to heat preservation for the slight heating phenomenon in the optical fiber.

3, optical cable joint and end welding.

Use a special cutter or grinder to take out both ends of the optical fiber. Then insert the optical fiber head into the joint of the optical cable. If there is no welding tool, you can use an electric soldering iron to heat it, and the temperature should not exceed 200℃. The heating time is 10~20 minutes.

4, fiber core connection and separation

At both ends of the optical cable, the fiber cores on the splice optical cable are connected and separated respectively. If the optical cable itself is a single-mode fiber or a multimode fiber, when connecting the fiber core, pressure rings should be used at both ends; If the fiber core is not connected by crimping (one end is bonded with adhesive tape) and pulled obliquely, the fiber core and crimping should be bonded by crimping and adhesive tape at both ends respectively. When optical fibers are fused, it is generally not necessary to directly separate or connect the optical fibers by using wires or tapes between the fiber cores. When connecting the fiber core with screws and nuts, be careful not to stick to the thread or tape on the fiber core. ..... This is because there will be gas passing between threads or tapes, which will increase the resistance during welding. ..... Therefore, the silk thread should not pass through the fused optical fiber to avoid unnecessary resistance and mechanical damage. .....
