1: My work is related to books. Nowadays, most books are typeset by Indesign. In addition to books with a large number of pages, some magazines also use illustrator, and a few use CoreIDRAW. Personally, I think illustrator is better. In addition to the above two vector softwares, some single-page typesetting also uses PS. INdesign was not learned for nothing. It is very useful.

2. I still need you for typesetting. First of all, there will be post-proofreading after you finish, including words and pictures. After proofreading, suggestions for modification will be made, or modifications will be made until there are no problems. As for printing, you need to grasp the settings of the previous documents and follow up the output later. We usually export the document to a suitable format at last, and then other staff will send it to the printing location. If there are problems, such as monochrome black and four-color black, you are also responsible. There are also some printing plants that print less than 5% black, which also requires constant communication. There is also a color-biased sample that I want you to deal with.

3. Art editor doesn't need much creativity, but you must have excellent composition skills and master the main style of the whole magazine or book. You need to consider and coordinate a series of issues such as where each picture is arranged, font size, spacing between words and so on. This is a meticulous work.

In fact, you don't have to worry. General magazines have a long-established system. Many templates have been repaired. You don't need to create it entirely by yourself, you can get started soon. But it also depends on the nature of the work. Our initial design work, the luckiest thing is to meet seniors who are willing to bring new people. It is very important to listen to their opinions.
