Mold fitter's license is not the same as driver's license, so it is not compulsory. Many fitters without certificates are also engaged in the work of mold workers. Usually, a molder with more than ten years is a senior molder. Mould fitter is a skilled type of work, which requires relatively little theoretical knowledge. There are basic requirements if you have a high school math and physics foundation, and you don't need a deep theoretical foundation. In addition to the basic knowledge of high school, you also need knowledge of mechanical drawing and drawing recognition. Mold assemblers have higher requirements for skills and emphasize hands-on ability. In addition to the knowledge and skills related to molds and fixtures, it is also required to have the ability to operate various machine tools, such as lathes, drilling machines, milling machines, grinders and hand tools.
