What material is used for FRP mould?

The use of the mold depends on the characteristics of the product. If it is a FRP product that needs to be pressed, the steel mold will generally be selected. The steel mold has good sealing strength and less trimming. A large number of small products do not need to be pressed, and plastic molds can be selected. Considering the cost of a small number of molds, including large products, if the deformation and density are not high, you can choose FRP molds. The production of plastic molds mentioned here also requires making steel molds first, and then extruding the plastic molds. Generally, gypsum mold or wood mold is used as the master mold in the production of FRP mold, and the surface treatment of the master mold is relatively complicated, and the FRP mold needs to be polished in water mill in the later stage.
