How do volunteers sign up for the Beijing Olympic Games?
First, the basic conditions of volunteers
(a) voluntary participation in the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games volunteer service;
(2) 1990 (inclusive) was born before June 30th and is in good health;
(3) Abide by the laws and regulations of China;
(4) Being able to participate in pre-competition training and related activities;
(5) Being able to serve continuously for more than 7 days during the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games;
(6) Applicants whose mother tongue is Chinese should have basic foreign language communication skills, and applicants whose mother tongue is not Chinese should have basic Chinese communication skills;
(seven) have the necessary professional knowledge and skills for volunteer service positions.
Second, the rights and obligations of volunteers
(1) rights
1. Understand the volunteer policy of the Olympic Games;
2. Express the willingness to work before the job is determined;
3. Get the necessary job security;
4. Safeguard their legitimate rights and interests;
5. Participate in the evaluation and commendation of volunteers;
6. Put forward opinions and suggestions on volunteer work for the Universiade;
7. Apply for quitting voluntary service.
(2) Obligations
1. Abide by the Olympic Charter and the Constitution of the International Paralympic Committee and spread the Olympic spirit;
2. Abide by BOCOG policies and rules;
3. Fulfill the voluntary service commitment signed by me;
4. Complete the corresponding training;
5. Obey BOCOG's arrangement for voluntary service;
6. Obey BOCOG's command and deployment, and earnestly complete the volunteer service task;
7. Obey team management during volunteer service.
Third, recruit volunteers.
(1) Source
Volunteers for the Olympic and Paralympic Games are mainly recruited in Beijing, mainly from Beijing university students. At the same time, a certain number of volunteers are recruited from residents of all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese and foreigners.
(2) Registration channels
The relevant institutions designated by 1.BOCOG are responsible for receiving the voluntary registration of applicants from their own units or specific regions.
2. Applicants outside the scope of relevant institutions register through BOCOG online registration system.
(3) Registration time
The registration period for Universiade volunteers is from August 2006 to March 2008.
(4) Recruitment process
1. The recruitment process of Games-time volunteers mainly includes registration, material review, interview, testing, job assignment, background review and sending employment notice.
2.BOCOG recruited volunteers from the applicants in batches according to the recruitment process, and issued the first batch of recruitment notices for volunteers during the Games in August 2007. The recruitment of Olympic volunteers was completed in May 2008.
(5) Recruit Olympic volunteers from outside Beijing.
The recruitment of volunteers for the Youth Olympic Games, Tianjin Olympic Games, Shanghai Olympic Games, Shenyang Olympic Games, Qin Olympic Games and Hong Kong Olympic Games will be conducted by the competition organizations in each competition area under the guidance of BOCOG and in accordance with the unified policies formulated by BOCOG.
Fourth, the training of volunteers
(1) training content
1. General training. The contents of general training include basic Olympic knowledge, general situation of Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, history and traditional culture of China, history and cultural life of Beijing, knowledge and skills of service for the disabled, etiquette norms, medical knowledge and first aid skills, etc. Volunteer applicants will receive extensive comprehensive training during the Games.
2. Professional training. The content of professional training includes relevant professional knowledge and skills that should be mastered according to the professional requirements of volunteer service posts.
3. Field training. The contents of venue training include venue functions, knowledge about competitions in venues, internal facilities, organizational structure, rules and regulations, etc.
4. on-the-job training. The contents of on-the-job training include job responsibilities, work tasks, business processes, operation specifications, etc.
(2) Training methods
1. Distance training. Distance training mainly includes network training, radio and television media training and correspondence training.
2. Face to face.
3. Practical training. Practical training mainly includes public welfare practical activities, special activities and participation in test competitions.

(1) service area
1. During the Games-time, volunteers mainly volunteer in venues (including competition venues, training venues and non-competition venues). According to the actual needs of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, some volunteers are mobile and do not volunteer in fixed venues.
2. The service areas of Games-time volunteers mainly include concierge reception, language translation, transportation service, security, medical care, audience service, communication, competition organization guarantee, venue operation guarantee, news operation guarantee and cultural activities organization guarantee, as well as other fields designated by BOCOG.
(2) Scheduling
In principle, volunteers work in one shift every day, and each shift does not exceed 8 hours. Reasonable time shifts are determined for special posts according to actual conditions.
Protection and encouragement of volunteers with intransitive verbs
(1) Job security
1. Issue identity registration cards;
2. Provide work clothes and equipment;
3. provide meals during work;
4. Provide free public transport services in specific areas of the city;
5. Provide personal accident insurance during work.
(2) praise and encouragement
1. Issue certificates and badges of volunteer service for the Olympic and Paralympic Games;
2. Select outstanding volunteers, teams and working organizations and award them honorary titles;
3. According to the service time and service effect, volunteers can get souvenirs of the Olympic and Paralympic Games;
4. After the Olympics and Paralympics, establish volunteer memorial facilities.
(3) During the off-site games, volunteers will bear the round-trip transportation expenses from the residence to the venue, accommodation expenses at the venue and catering expenses outside working hours.
(4) For volunteers who fail to fulfill their obligations, BOCOG will cancel their qualifications as volunteers for the Olympic and Paralympic Games according to relevant regulations.
