The route of Hong Tong-Daning Expressway is generally east-west, starting from the south of Ganting Town, Hongtong County, connecting with Xiangfen County and houma city City, ending in Daning County, and connecting with the completed Jixian-Yonghe Expressway. Hongtong County belongs to Linfen City, Shanxi Province, which is located in the south of Shanxi Province and the northern end of Linfen Basin. Huoshan is adjacent to Guxian County in the east, Lvliang, Huozhou and Fenxi are adjacent to Puxian County in the west, and Yaodu District in the south, with a total area of 1.494 square kilometers.
