Xingtan Town is located in the southwest of Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, with convenient land and water transportation. It is a typical water town in the Pearl River Delta. The town covers a total area of 1.22 square kilometers, and has jurisdiction over 24 villagers' committees and 6 residents' committees, with a permanent population of about 1.8 million and more than 50,000 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao. It is one of the industrial satellite towns in Guangdong Province.
