Jiujiang has convenient transportation, with complete railways, highways, water transportation and civil aviation. Jiujiang is located in the northern part of Jiangxi Province. It is the northern gate of Jiangxi Province and the provincial sub-central city of Jiangxi Province. The Wuhan-Jiujiu Passenger Dedicated Line starts from Wuhan, passes through Ezhou, Huangshi, Daye, Yangxin, Ruichang and Jiujiang County, and ends at Jiujiang Station. It has a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour and a total length of 198 kilometers. It extends from the Daye North Station of the Wuhan-Huangshi intercity railway under construction to Jiujiang City and connects to the Changjiu intercity railway.

Jiujiang Station is located in Jiujiang City, the second largest city in Jiangxi Province in terms of comprehensive strength. It is an important railway station and hub station in southern China under the Nanchang Railway Bureau, and is also the largest stop on the Beijing-Kowloon Line.

Passenger transport services include: handling passenger boarding and landing; baggage and package check-in. No freight business is conducted. Lushan Station (Jiujiang South Station)

Lushan Station, formerly known as Jiujiang South Station, is located in Shahe Town, Jiujiang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It was built in 1910 , is a passenger station for Beijing-Kowloon Railway, Changjiu-Jiujiu Intercity Railway, Wuhan-Jiujiu Railway, and Wuhan-Jiujiu Passenger Dedicated Line. It is under the jurisdiction of the Jiujiang Depot of Nanchang Railway Bureau and is currently a second-class station.

With the future planning and development of Jiujiang Railway, Lushan Station plays an increasingly important role in Jiujiang Railway. According to the plan of Jiujiang Railway, Lushan Station (Jiujiang South Station) will be connected to multiple high-speed trains and railways in the future, such as the Wujiu-Jiu Passenger Dedicated Line (opened to traffic at the end of 2016) and the planned He'an-Jiu Passenger Dedicated Line (under construction) , Chijiu Passenger Dedicated Line (Chizhou-Jiujiang), Fugang Nine Passenger Dedicated Line (Fuyang-Huanggang-Jiujiang), etc., so the transformation of Lushan Station (Jiujiang South Station into Jiujiang High-speed Railway Station) is also accelerating.
