Guizhou Medical University (Guizhou? Medicine? University) was founded in 1938 as the national Guiyang Medical College, which was one of the nine national medical colleges directly under the Ministry of Education at that time. 1950 was placed under the management of Guizhou Provincial People's Government and renamed Guiyang Medical College.

The school is one of the universities in the central and western regions that implement the basic capacity-building project, a key university in Guizhou Province, the only unit in Guizhou Province that awards medical doctorates, and a pilot university of the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program". 20 15 officially changed its name to Guizhou Medical University.

Brief introduction of Zunyi medical college

Zunyi Medical College is the first medical undergraduate college founded by the Communist Party of China (CPC) after the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. It is a university jointly established by the National Health and Wellness Committee and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, a pilot university of excellent doctoral education and training program, and a first-class discipline construction university in Guizhou Province. It has been selected as a basic capacity-building project for universities in the central and western regions.

The school was founded in 1947, formerly known as Kanto Medical College. 1949 Kanto Medical College was merged into Dalian University and renamed Dalian University Medical College. 1950 Dalian University was abolished and Dalian Medical College became independent. 1969, in order to support the "third-line construction", the school moved south to Zunyi and changed its name to Zunyi Medical College. 20 18 was renamed Zunyi Medical College.

Founded in 1965, the school was formed by the merger of the former Department of Motherland Medicine of Guiyang Medical College, Guizhou Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guizhou Health Cadre Training School and Guiyang Chinese Medicine Hospital. It is the only undergraduate college of traditional Chinese medicine in Guizhou Province. 198 1 The first batch of authorized units for master's degrees became provincial key supporting universities in 2006.
