KFC Promotion

I have been working at KFC for almost half a year. It has taught me not only that money is hard-earned, but also the complexity of society, the ugliness of human nature, and the sadness of good people being bullied.

In January 2010, I happily went to work part-time at KFC. I worked in the kitchen and repeated the tasks of mixing chicken, breading, serving food, and grilling chicken wings every day. On the first day, the master told me that each item has its own prescribed procedures and we cannot operate in violation of regulations.

During the month after the Chinese New Year, I took a total of three days of rest. Although it is said that the more I work, the more money I will get, but if it comes in exchange for good health, I would rather not. When I officially started working, I officially did not have the guidance of a master. I did what he said, but problems came one after another. The first is speed. Following the procedure will definitely take a lot of time, but when the peak comes, the customers rush to the counter, the counter urges the main distributor, and the main distributor urges the kitchen. I don’t know how many times I was scolded for this matter. Later I learned to be smarter! I know I have to be lazy when I should be lazy!

The schedule of work and rest is uncertain and the routine of life is disordered. I have never eaten at a normal time after entering KFC. Sometimes I am so hungry that I don’t even have the strength to speak, so they do whatever they say.

A double holiday means no holiday at all. You must not expect to be able to take two weekends off like ordinary people, it is impossible. Because, weekends are the busiest time for restaurants except holidays.

Holidays are completely missed by you. At KFC, holidays are the busiest time. No one who works at KFC can enjoy national holidays like ordinary people. You have to work in the restaurant on May Day, National Day, New Year's Day, and Spring Festival, because those are peak periods.

At KFC, every job is tiring, but why can’t everyone work happily? I was supposed to go to work at 12 o'clock today, but was told by the store to start work at 11 o'clock, so I went. When it was almost time to get off work, someone asked for waste oil. There was a shortage of people, and the management team asked me to work overtime. I was already feeling groggy at work today, so I directly replied to him not to work overtime. I was thinking in my heart, you told me to go to work early and I came, and I usually worked overtime, too. Sometimes I was alone in the kitchen, and I was also waste oil. I was doing everything by myself. It's time to close, where will you go then? Why didn't you arrange for someone to help me? People are like this, can’t the management team do their job? Some people say that if you work more, you can get more money. I don't care if I can get an hour's salary in exchange for good health.

I also learned a lot here. Sometimes there are many people in the kitchen, but those people (who are full-time) just don’t move. It seems that I am the one who bakes the flour, and they are responsible for the oven. For example, I want to wrap 4 chickens. While I was wrapping them, he (from the kitchen) came over and said to me, after wrapping the chickens, wrap the spicy wings. I'm thinking, can't you wrap it since you're in charge of the oven? On June 1, the chef saw me working at the chicken wrapping station. She thought I was working very hard, so she offered to switch to the chicken wrapping station. Later I asked the master why he didn't hand it over to them. There were 6 people in the kitchen that day, and even pregnant women had to come to work (PC). This is the job of KFC. As long as you do it, you will get out. Sometimes I think about it, just do it if you can, and do more when you are young.

In KFC, women are treated like men and men are treated like livestock. After doing it for half a year, I became numb. The only thing is that I can earn some pocket money for myself every month. I want to tell those friends who are inside or outside the besieged city of KFC, or who want to join KFC. If you are still young and don’t have a lot of financial pressure, it is a good thing to go to KFC for a year or two to exercise, but only It's just for exercise. Don't treat it as a career. It's just an ordinary job.
