Dubai is the largest city in UAE and the trade capital of UAE. Dubai Metro has four lines: red, green, orange and blue. The first phase of construction includes red and green routes. The red line with a total length of 69.7 kilometers is planned to be put into operation in September 2009, and the green line with a total length of 23 kilometers was opened in March 20 10. Dubai Metro Line was built by DURL Dubai Express consortium, which includes Japan Group, Mitsubishi, Dalin and Kashima, as well as YAPI Mokeqi in Turkey. The legal person of tunnel design is Atkins Company.

After the project is completed, Dubai Metro will be the longest unmanned urban rapid rail transit system in the world. By 2020, the total length of Dubai subway system will reach about 3 18 km.
