Time flies! Four days of professional understanding and internship experiments have ended. During this period, from experiencing the company and corporate culture to personally going deep into the production line, I experienced the glory and hardship of labor, and learned knowledge that is difficult to learn from books.

Part One: Safety Education

On the afternoon of November 19, after the assembly, the team instructor began to teach the first lesson of professional understanding and practical experiment - safety education . The content can be roughly divided into the following points:

3. Private use of electrical and other equipment is strictly prohibited.

Part 2: Visiting the Metallography and Heat Treatment Laboratory

After the safety education class, the instructor took us to the main metallography and thermal laboratory in the school laboratory building . The laboratory was established in 2000 and has multiple metallographic microscopes, hardness testing machines, heat treatment experimental furnaces and other equipment. The teacher introduced each one in detail.

The first introduction is the hardness testing machine. The hardness testing machine is divided into two types: Rockwell hardness tester and cloth hardness tester. Each of the two hardness testers has its own advantages and disadvantages and suitable working range. After walking out of the metallographic and heat treatment laboratory, we came to the Mold Special Processing Training Center. As soon as I entered the door, I was deeply attracted by the various equipment "displayed". In my opinion, they are all rare large-scale precision instruments. Don't you believe it? You see, those behemoths are standing firmly on the ground, and some of them are even equipped with computers. Next, the teacher introduced various instruments to us in detail. The first one that caught our attention was the EDM machine, followed by EDM machines, wire EDM machines, silicone rubber molding machines, UV oven (box), it is not difficult to find that most instruments are inseparable from the word "electric spark", and as an electric spark machining process, it is a technology in mold manufacturing and processing. EDM is mainly used to process various types of cold punching dies, extrusion dies, wire drawing dies, powder metallurgy dies and special-shaped holes and micro holes. It has unique advantages for processing cavity molds and parts with complex cavities. During the period, the teacher also introduced us to the new technology at the "frontier of science and technology" - three-dimensional superposition molding technology, also known as Rapid Prototyping technology. This is a technology developed in recent years to quickly produce prototypes or parts directly based on CAD models. The general term for technology. It integrates modern scientific and technological achievements such as CAD technology, CNC technology, laser technology and material technology, and is an important part of advanced technology. Different from traditional manufacturing methods, rapid prototyping starts from the CAD geometric model of the part, and uses laser beams or other methods to accumulate materials to form solid parts through software layered discretization and CNC forming systems. Because it transforms complex three-dimensional manufacturing into a A series of two-dimensional superpositions can produce almost any complex parts without molds and tools, greatly improving production efficiency and manufacturing flexibility. A more concerning issue is the speed of a product's process from concept to marketable finished product.

Of course, it also has its limitations compared to traditional technology.

Instruments such as silicone rubber molding machines and ultraviolet ovens (boxes) are all indispensable equipment in mold manufacturing and processing, and wire EDM molding machines are even more worth mentioning. It can be divided into two types: one is a fast wire EDM wire cutting machine with an accuracy of 0.1mm, which uses copper wire and is disposable; the other is a slow wire EDM wire cutting machine with an accuracy of 0.1mm. 0.01mm, and uses recyclable molybdenum wire.

Part 4: Visiting the Mold Skills Training Center

Walking into the Mold Skills Training Center is like walking into a world of molds. Here, we see a variety of molds of different sizes, mainly stamping molds and plastic molds. Through the instructor's explanation, I learned that the relatively tall solid steel rod on the stamping die is called the die handle, which is unique to small stamping dies and is practical for fixing it on the punch. As for the plastic mold, there is a small round hole - the injection hole. In addition, we also saw punch and injection molding machines, various mold models and patterns.

Part 5: Visit Xinfei Plastic Products Factory

On the morning of November 20, we took the class as a unit, led by the instructor and monitor, and came to Xinfei Plastics Factory Products factory, we start a new day of professional understanding and practical experiments.

We visited various production workshops and saw the injection molding machine model HTF450-3W. We saw the mold moving back and forth driven by the injection molding machine, and the staff continued to take out the finished products. After the instructor's explanation, I learned that the raw materials enter the material cylinder from the hopper dryer, are heated and pressurized, and fill the entire mold cavity in a liquid form. Finally, after cooling and shaping, the desired product is obtained.

Later, after detailed inquiries, I roughly understood the working principle of the plastic injection mold: before injection molding, the mold is closed and locked under the action of the mold clamping device of the injection molding machine. During molding, the plastic melt injected from the nozzle of the injection molding machine flows into the mold cavity through the mold sprue sleeve and parting surface. After pressure maintaining, feeding and cooling, the mold clamping device of the injection molding machine drives the moving mold. Move back to the left, so that the movable mold gate sleeve and the fixed mold can be opened from the separation surface. Plastic molds can be regarded as consisting of the following parts with similar functions: molding parts, pouring system, guide parts, push-out mechanism, lateral parting core-pulling mechanism, exhaust mechanism, cooling and heating device, support and fixing parts .

After understanding the working principle of the injection molding machine and the structure of the mold, we went to the mold storage area to see the long-awaited mold with our own eyes. After looking at the mold card in detail, some molds have a structure of one out of one, and some have one out of two. The material column all says ABS. After asking the instructor, I found out: one out of one means only one product is produced at a time. After leaving Xinfei, I took the bus back to school. Today’s internship is also over.
