With the approval of county magistrate Guo and provincial education department, Shaxian junior high school was established in August 1923, and the first batch of junior high school students were enrolled, with Lin (Qing, a provincial councillor) as the principal. The school site is located in Minglun Hall of Confucian Temple (now Sha Yi Middle School Auditorium) and Kuixing Pavilion of Five Dynasties Temple. After the fifth student 1930 graduated, the school closed. A total of 29 people graduated from the second to fifth sessions (the list of the first graduates is temporarily vacant).

In August, Liu Bofeng, a native of Qingtian, Zhejiang Province, was ordered by the Provincial Department of Education to go to school for administration. Over the past ten years, the school has continuously strengthened infrastructure construction, invested nearly 30 million yuan, built office buildings, science and technology buildings, staff dormitories, student apartments and student canteens, and rebuilt teaching buildings, school gates and track fields.
