Skills of College Students' Resume Delivery in Job Search
Posting skills of college students' job application resumes
This article is mainly about the skills of posting resumes. Although it may be a little wordy, I think it is very useful for everyone to submit their resumes. Please give me your advice!
First, the form of email
Try to paste my resume in the form of text with my own mailbox, instead of putting my resume in an attachment or forwarding it on some websites with no words in the text (because the theme and even content of the resume forwarded by these functions are often garbled), and of course, don't write my resume in my blog and then give a link to welcome it. In a word: I don't have time.
once again: don't put your resume in the attachment!
This first increases the time for hr to read your resume, because your resume may not be read by one person or just once. It is troublesome to open the attachment every time, and it is not convenient to find it if it is saved. This does not include the case that some servers directly block emails with attachments.
Secondly, it destroys your first impression. Especially if there is no word in the text and a resume is pasted directly in the attachment, it shows that your sincerity is really insufficient. As for those positions that are emphasized in the job advertisements, please don't submit them as attachments. If you still use attachments, it only shows one problem: if you don't even read the instructions carefully when applying for the job, or if you don't read them or follow them, how can you prove that you will seriously and carefully obey the arrangement at work? So we think about it for ourselves and for hr with empathy. In fact, it's very simple, as long as you paste your resume in the text, it's ok!
second, the title of the email
regarding the title of the email, if the other party has declared which format to use as the theme when recruiting, try to follow it as much as possible, because this is the standard for its preliminary screening. Don't think that an hr receives only a few or dozens of resumes a day. In fact, there are hundreds or even thousands of letters applying for different positions. If your title only says "application" or "job application" or "resume" and so on, you can imagine how much attention your resume has received. It is likely to be ignored! So at least write down the position you are applying for, so as to facilitate hr to screen in different categories. And it is best to write your name in the title, so that hr can review your resume again. In order to prevent them from looking for your resume one by one in a large group of resumes titled "Application …", this is simply a test of the patience of hr personnel!
and there is one more thing about the title: write in Chinese, unless English is required when applying!
so a standard title is: the position you want to apply for-your name-the work place required for this position. This will at least ensure that your email can be read. I have seen the topic "My resume" (who knows who you are and what you are going to do? ) "Do you know who I am?" (sorry, I don't know and I don't want to know) "I want to apply! ! ! ! !” What position are you applying for? I can understand your urgency, but you don't need so many exclamation points! ) "XXX's resume" (What do you want to do?) "Thank you for reading!" (This is exactly the same topic as spam, so I won't read it.) "So-and-so university applies for internship" (It's too big for us to afford! ) "so-and-so university master's application" (what about the position? If you have to emphasize your school, you can write: applied position-name-from * * university master). These are some real examples. There are many people who write like this and have no work experience. In a word, it is very simple: just write down your position and name.
Third, the position you are applying for
The name of the position you are applying for is definitely no problem according to the name given by the company in the recruitment. Don't play it by yourself. The proportion of this problem among students is still relatively small, but even for interns, a big company is divided into several types, so you can write whatever he wants. But when you apply for other positions in the future, you must write clearly. For example, when we want to recruit "Assistant to the General Manager of the Channel Department", you must write "Assistant to the General Manager" or "Channel Assistant". You must write "Secretary to the President" and "Secretary" when recruiting "Secretary to the Vice President"; You must write "HR Commissioner" when recruiting "training specialist"; You want to write "after-sales support", "customer service staff" and "technical engineer" when recruiting "after-sales technical engineer" ... There are countless examples like this. Many times, the words you invented don't have corresponding positions, so no matter how well you do your resume, you have to put it aside.
another important point is that you should at least know what position you want to take, at least what kind of position it is.
Many people have put in many irrelevant positions, such as "Senior Core Software Developer" and "Operator" and "Secretary to the Vice President". Do you think one person can do it? I've seen a man who applied for all the positions in our company in one day! Maybe you are a generalist, but I'm sorry. In fact, many generalists who submit resumes aimlessly seem to have increased their chances. In fact, such people are usually not considered. How can the company help you decide what kind of position you want to take? !
There are also few opportunities to declare the position you are applying for in the title or resume, and there are no job hunting goals or only "market-related positions" and "software development-related positions", because the company has no obligation or time and energy to consider which position you are suitable for regardless of hundreds of resumes.
I said so much just to let us all increase our chances. Many times, we will complain about how we submitted a lot of resumes and didn't even receive an interview notice. It may not be that you are incompetent, but that your resume has not been read effectively at all, and this reason is probably caused by yourself! Maybe there are many factors that we can't control whether you can apply for the job successfully, but we should at least control the factors that we can control, the ranking of Shanxi University, to increase our chances. Every one of us is gold. Don't passively wait for someone else's excavation, but try to show the ground yourself! ;
