The full name of Tianshui Forestry School is Gansu Forestry Vocational and Technical College, and its address is No.58 Mapaoquan Road, Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province.

Tianshui Forestry School, located in Tianshui, a famous historical and cultural city, was jointly established by Gansu Provincial Department of Education and Gansu Provincial Forestry Department. It is the only independent forestry higher vocational college in northwest China, a national demonstration higher vocational college, a domestic first-class higher vocational college and a high-quality higher vocational college construction unit.

As of April 2020, the college covers an area of 550 mu, with a building area of 226,800 square meters and total fixed assets of 373 million yuan. Maiji Mountain Scenic Area has an internship forest farm covering an area of 3,700 mu, and the school has a comprehensive training base covering an area of 55 mu. There are 87 on-campus practice training rooms with distinctive professional characteristics, and 83 off-campus training bases are jointly built by schools and enterprises/KLOC-0.

As of April 2020, the college has nine secondary colleges, including forestry engineering, landscape engineering, environmental engineering, surveying and mapping engineering, information engineering, architectural engineering, economic management, electromechanical engineering, and traffic engineering, and four teaching departments, namely Marxist College and Basic Department, Sports Department, Continuing Education Department and Undergraduate Department.

There are 323 full-time teachers, 2 professors1person, 97 associate professors, "double-qualified" teachers 154, and more than 300 off-campus part-time teachers. Nine college-level teaching teams were built, and six teaching teams, including forestry technology specialty, were rated as provincial-level teaching teams.
