Introduction to Wafangdian Central Hospital

Wafangdian Central Hospital was founded in August 1949. It is a large-scale comprehensive hospital in Wafangdian area that integrates medical treatment, health care, teaching, scientific research, critical rescue, and major epidemic prevention and control. After 60 years of entrepreneurship, struggle, inheritance and development, it was promoted to a national Grade II-A general hospital in July 1994 and a national Grade III-B comprehensive government public hospital in 2011. It is one of the 50 key contact county hospitals across the country identified by the Ministry of Health. It is one of the 311 comprehensive reform pilot hospitals in the country, 11 in Liaoning Province, and 3 county hospitals in Dalian City. It is one of the 100 clinical pathway and electronic medical record pilot management units and 60 remote pathology consultation pilot units nationwide. The cancer ward has been designated by the Ministry of Health as a cancer pain standardized demonstration ward cultivation unit. The hospital has been ranked among the "Top 100 Most Competitive County-Level Hospitals in China" for three consecutive years.
