The Evolution of Dangshan Town

Dangshan Town is named after the mountain. The old name of Dangshan is Bishan. In ancient times, there was a beacon tower on the top of the mountain, which was used to guard the camp and prevent floods in Sanjiang town of Shaoxing, but it lost its original function because of the change of river course.

According to historical records, Dangshan was named after the Song Dynasty. 195 1 year, belonging to Guandu, Meilin, Sanguan Township and Dangshan Township, belonging to Shaoxing County.

1956 merged into Dangshan Township and was placed under the jurisdiction of Xiaoshan County.

1958 is a part of Hero Commune.

1959 is the three administrative districts of Baliqiao, Liqun and Meilin of Dangshan Commune.

196 1 merged into Dangshan commune. Changsha Commune/KLOC-0 was merged in February, 1969, and197/KLOC-0 was separated from Changsha in June, 1969.

1992 merged with Changsha Town in May to form Dangshan Town.

20 13 On August 28th, the people of Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou Municipal People's Government agreed to cancel the establishment of Guali Town, and Kanshan Town and Dangshan Town merged to form a new Guali Town.

On September 4th, 20 13, Xiaoshan held a meeting and announced the cancellation of the organizational system of Guali, Kanshan and Dangshan, and the merger of Xinghuali Town.
