The Sichuan Provincial Library is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00-17:00.

The Sichuan Provincial Library is located in Qingyang District, Chengdu City. It is one of the earliest public libraries established in China. It is a first-level library in Sichuan Province, a general library of Sichuan Province, and a national cultural information resource. *** Enjoy Project Sichuan Branch Center.

The predecessor of the Sichuan Provincial Library was the Sichuan Provincial Library established in 1912. In 1927, it was renamed the Chengdu Municipal Library. It was renamed Western Sichuan People's Library in 1942 and Sichuan Provincial Library in 1952. It was opened for operation in December 2015.

As of December 2017, the Sichuan Provincial Library has more than 5 million books, including 650,000 ancient books, 220,000 Republic of China documents, and 150TB of digital resources; the Sichuan Provincial Library has a building area of ??52,000 square meters m, the library has 21 departments and a total of 220 employees. On November 18, 2020, it was selected as the "New Trendy Landmark of Chengdu and Chongqing".

As of the end of 2016, Sichuan Provincial Library has collected and ordered 35,474 kinds of books, 85,056 volumes, and collected 6,286 types of publication sample books, 12,260 volumes , collected 1,838 kinds of books donated by society and readers, totaling 3,651 volumes, and received 783 kinds of Chinese periodicals, including 389 kinds of local periodicals.

Cataloged and submitted 26,533 new books, 51,686 volumes, completed data processing and proofreading of 159,367 Chinese books of 51,146 categories, completed 4,105 items of bibliographic data on submitted and donated books, and bibliographic data on Chinese books and periodicals 284 items, 469 items of bibliographic data of Chinese periodicals were maintained and modified; 75 items of bibliographic data of foreign periodicals were newly compiled, and 72 items of bibliographic data of foreign periodicals were maintained.
