The Institute of Foreign Languages, formerly known as the Foreign Languages Department of Hulunbeier Institute of Education, initially offered English majors and Russian majors at the junior college level, and enrolled Russian undergraduates in 2004 and English undergraduates in 2005.

There are 87 faculty members in the School of Foreign Languages, including 8 full-time teachers, 8 professors, 2 associate professors and 4 tutors for master students. There are 4 doctors, 7 1 master, and 4 doctors are studying; There are more than 30 teachers studying, researching and working abroad.

At present, the college has two levels: English, Mongolian and Russian, and has set up English education, Mongolian English, Russian and applied Russian training directions respectively. At present, there are nearly 1,000 students and 33 classes. Over the past 40 years, the college has sent thousands of primary and secondary school teachers and applied foreign language talents urgently needed by the departments of economy, trade, tourism and foreign affairs to the autonomous region and all parts of the country.
