Coal procurement standard of Huaneng power plant

The coal purchasing standards of this factory are calorific value, ash content and moisture content.

1, calorific value: calorific value of coal is an important index when designing power generation boilers. If the calorific value of coal is lower than the design index, the temperature level in the boiler will decrease, which will affect the ignition point and burnout of pulverized coal and lead to the decrease of thermal efficiency of the boiler. When the calorific value is low to a certain extent, it may cause unstable combustion, fire extinguishing and blasting, and even fuel must be added to support combustion.

2. Ash: Ash will reduce the flame propagation speed, delay the ignition time, make the combustion unstable and lower the furnace temperature. The higher the ash content of coal, the lower the calorific value, the lower the combustion temperature, the higher the ash discharge, the lower the thermal efficiency, and the serious pollution and wear of the heating surface. Therefore, in terms of purchasing standards, the lower the ash, the better.

3. Moisture content: High moisture content will lead to low calorific value, large smoke exhaust loss, and easy to cause adhesion and blockage of coal bunker, pipeline and coal feeder. However, the existence of moisture also has certain benefits. For example, the water vapor contained in the flame is a very effective catalyst for coal dust suspension combustion, and moisture can also prevent coal dust from flying.
