Introduction of Hongqiao Village

Hongqiao Village, located at the junction of two provinces and three cities, is the urban-rural junction of Wuzhen. It is adjacent to Tang Hong in Huzhou in the west, Taoyuan in Wujiang in Jiangsu in the north, Fenshuidun Village in this town in the east, surrounded by Wuzhen Phase II scenic spot. In 2000, it was formed by merging the original four villages of Hongqiao, Yongxing, Dongyao and He Huan. The total area of the village is 3.5 square kilometers, and the total cultivated land area is 3,599 mu, including paddy field 257 1 mu and dry land 1.028 mu. There are 36 villagers' groups in the village, 1 15 1 household, with a total population of 3963. There is a general party branch with three branches (commercial branch, agricultural branch and elderly branch), and the number of people in party member is 109. In 2007, the total industrial income of the village reached 275.05 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 8,404 yuan.
