Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine has two campuses: truffle and Yunlong.

Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Zhuzhou Health School, was founded in 1959, renamed as Zhuzhou College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hunan Province in 1986, and renamed as Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1990. In 2004, it was upgraded to Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The school is organized by the Hunan provincial government, with the Hunan Provincial Health and Wellness Committee as the administrative management and the Hunan Provincial Education Department as the operation director.

The school is located in Zhuzhou, the blessed land of Yan Di Shennong, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, an important transportation hub city in Central and South China, only 30 minutes' drive from Changsha, the provincial capital. Zhuzhou has two campuses, namely, Songlu Campus and Yunlong Campus, covering an area of more than 700 mu with a total construction area of 239,000 square meters.
