Expressway in Xinjiang is mostly a main toll station, mainly because of economic, political, military, cultural and other factors. These factors lead to the fact that most of expressway in Xinjiang are mainline toll stations. The disadvantage of mainline toll stations is that the expected high traffic volume will cause the toll plaza to be too wide, which will lead to unrealistic road land area, difficult land acquisition and insufficient minimum turning radius.
