Abstract: In today's society, although people are highly educated, typos still exist widely. Therefore, we conducted a survey to find out the reasons for the existence of typos: First, there are always some people with low educational level who fish in troubled waters, only seeking to understand, not seeking accuracy; Second, we don't pay attention to typos, thinking that it won't play much role, but often small things will get bigger and small things will add up to a vicious circle. In a word, our research is necessary and cannot be ignored.

The typos are ubiquitous in daily life, and the number is increasing, so we decided to choose the topic of street typo investigation report.

Our project is roughly divided into two main stages. The first stage: firstly, we carry out discussion activities to study how to carry out this project better; The second stage: go out and conduct in-depth research and investigation, collect more information, so as to find better examples of typos and attract people's attention to highlight the harm of typos. This is the most important goal of our research, and we should remind people not to follow the old path again.

We carry out research activities because we draw lessons from the following typical examples:

1) is the "Urumqi" incident, and I believe everyone is familiar with it. The misprinting of "Urumqi" as "Bird Lumuqi" resulted in losses as high as 6.5438+0.6 million yuan and serious economic losses.

2) It was a "quality rice" incident. Originally, the export rice bag should have been printed with "high quality rice", but the wrong information was "ordinary rice". No problems were found just before the export, and all of them were returned afterwards. The amount of loss can be imagined.

For the above example, it better shows that we should not only spell every word correctly, but also write every word correctly. They set a good precedent for us, reminding people and sounding the alarm again.

In view of the above phenomenon, we carry out typo research activities to make typos have no place. After that, we began to collect typos in Daxian Hutong and various cultural, commercial and medical places-through our efforts, we found some examples of typos. For example, when we went to bicycle and motor vehicle repair shops in the east, we found that repair shops in many places misspelled the tire "tire" into "peptide" or "inch", which is a very common phenomenon; Another example is da li Hospital. We went to investigate twice, and in the content of "pay attention to diet" written in the publicity column, the words "except" and "except" were wrongly written as "Xu"; There are also some food stores and fast food restaurants that misspell the word "fat" and write "steamed stuffed bun rice" as "steamed stuffed bun rice" and so on. Later, we also investigated some recruitment notices and lost and found notices written in alleys, as well as advertisements and signs printed by street computers, but failed to type typos; There is also the problem of colloquialism. In daily life, people often write words in vernacular, and typos often appear.

The above is the information we collected when we went abroad for study and investigation. In view of the above-mentioned real social phenomena, we launched a discussion, mainly discussing the reasons for the formation of typos, the types of typos, and how to do typos well in the future to prevent them from harming society. After group discussion, we got the following results:

One of the reasons for the formation of typos is that their education level is not high, and the other is that they do not judge ugliness but seek convenience. It is because people who repair bicycles and motor vehicles have a low level of education and just have a skill that they write "tire" as "peptide" or "beep". In a place with high cultural quality like Dali Hospital, there will be typos, but in fact they don't agree. Because many people are sometimes busy making mistakes and working, they seldom care about the right or wrong of the word leisure. Some food stores with low food culture can continue to operate with the ability of "cooking", regardless of typos, they just want to operate a booming business. These ideas are actually unacceptable.

In fact, typos are nothing more than homophones and homographs. Just like the Cantonese pronunciation of Tai, many people will write homographs, such as Yi and Peptide. Although the harmful consequences are not great, it is similar in nature to the Urumqi incident. "Bao" and "Bao" are similar in shape and sound, so it is no wonder that they are misspelled. "Wu" is similar to "bird", and "except" is pronounced the same as "Xu" in Guangzhou dialect. In fact, many typos are formed in this way. I think it's enough to look like a voice, but it's actually wrong. We should write the correct words.

To do a good job of typo, we must first start from ourselves and our classmates. As descendants of the Chinese people, we should first write correctly in order to continue to develop our writing and deepen our culture. Our social and cultural level has been continuously improved, and our cultural quality has been continuously enhanced. We can't be laughed at any more. If we want to write, we should write well. To do a good job of typos, we must first improve our basic level, so that we can be responsible for "words" and not write typos easily.

After this investigation, we learned a lot; If we want to achieve fruitful results, we must put it into practice, work hard and participate. This survey makes us closer to social life, improves our ability to participate in society, and also gives us a lot of knowledge about typos, which is its harmfulness. This research has not only made great progress, but also made students more cooperative and United, enriched our extracurricular activities and increased their extracurricular knowledge.
