When glory shines ... sixty years of hard work,
After 60 years of accumulation and vigorous growth, Shimen citrus is more and more "flourishing". Shimen has produced oranges since ancient times. Li Qunyu, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty and proofreader of Hong Wen Pavilion (from Lixian County, Hunan Province), gave a high evaluation of Shimen orange in his poem "The unnamed mansion in Shimen is Dongyang Tan Shi carp". During Zheng De's reign in the Ming Dynasty (1506- 152 1), the county people excavated the "Three Love Ming" stone tablet in Zhenguan, a county town, engraved with the words "oranges are suitable for soil, and autumn kills the climate. Everywhere ... my teeth are full of honey. Sentences about You Xiang Lan Ju, Dingpinnu Orange Pomelo, etc. Its so-called "three loves" means "pine in the wood, orange in the fruit and plum in the flower". According to historical research, San Ai Ming was written in the Han and Wei Dynasties (around 220 AD). As early as the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (1368- 1398), Shimen was the famous place of Zhu Ju production in the south of the Yangtze River. In the northwest mountainous area, "Tang Ju is planted vigorously", "Tang Ju is produced in every village, and every household has pomelo", the red orange in Yanchiping, the water pomelo in Liangsuo Street, where Sansheng prestige is peaceful, and the red heart in Yuangongdu toss. This shows that Shimen citrus has a long history.
Shimen orange was born in a feudal, semi-feudal and semi-colonial society and has always been an ornament produced by farmers. By 1949, the county owned about 1000 mu of citrus with a total output of 220 tons.
"The people of China have stood up since then". The splendid fireworks at the celebration of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC) heralded the bright future of the Millennium traditional industries. 1autumn of 962, Xu mingkui, then secretary of the county party Committee, decided to establish a state-run horticultural demonstration field in Shimen county, and Qin, deputy secretary of the county party Committee, took the lead in developing 58 1 mu citrus orchard. Fangding Mountain, on the edge of the county seat, has since become the blessed land of "the first county of early-maturing tangerines in China". In June1963165438+10/6, 5 100, "Zhangwei" and two "Miyagawa" seedless Wenzhou tangerines entered Shimen, and the Millennium Orange Town started the nuclear-free era. /kloc-in the autumn of 0/968, 50 tons of oranges were exported to Canada for the first time. Since then, Shimen citrus has been exported continuously for 4 1 year, making it the "first citrus export county in China". Shimen citrus, from then on all the way to triumph. One side of the landscape supports the other. The unique natural environment gave birth to Shimen citrus with good quality. To the north of Shimen is Huping Mountain with an altitude of 2098.7 meters, and to the southeast is Dongting Lake Plain with an altitude of only 100 meters. As a result, cold air is difficult to get in and out in the north. It's very cold in winter: the warm air flow in the south is easy to get in but difficult to get out, and there is plenty of rainfall. In addition, the temperature difference between day and night in hilly areas is large, and the light is sufficient. The fruit produced in this special geographical and climatic environment is not only high in sugar content, but also 10 days earlier than similar varieties at the same latitude, which is very competitive. In the autumn of 2003, the citrus and seedling quality supervision, inspection and testing center of the Ministry of Agriculture passed strict inspection, and the evaluation of Shimen citrus was: "The fruit shape is dignified and tidy, the color is beautiful, the skin is thin and smooth, the meat is red and tender, the juice is sweet and sour, the flavor is rich, and the quality is excellent", which can be said to be raved.
Fruit is in short supply. The comparative benefit of exporting one ton of citrus for seven and a half tons of wheat, or the glory of earning a lot of foreign exchange, has given birth to the prosperity of citrus production and promoted the development of a number of community team gardening fields. 1February, 975, in order to solve the resettlement problem of the newly-built reservoir in Mengquan Town, the county party committee made great efforts to organize 4,000 collective laborers to dig 2,470 mu of terraced fields in Sunjiagang, Sixingang and Xiaojiagang areas of Class Three Commune, plant seedless tangerines and build a new Ping Xiu Garden. By the end of 1979, the citrus in all counties in China had reached 20,600 mu. Although it was severely hit by the extreme freezing (extreme low temperature-13℃) in late October of 1977/kloc-0, the annual fruit output still reached 577 tons. 1in the spring of 982, the county implemented the "land-to-household" reform in rural areas, and citrus production broke through the management system of state-owned and collective farms and was transferred to individual farmers, which stimulated vigorous productivity. Comrade Han Jinsong, then the county magistrate, actively promoted the adjustment of agricultural structure mainly based on citrus and enjoyed the reputation of "citrus county magistrate". The expansion strategy of "setting up a point in the village, developing a large family, highlighting early maturity, and bringing an area with points" has helped Shimen citrus enter a period of rapid development by leaps and bounds. By the end of 1983, the citrus area in the county had reached 2.4 1000 mu, and 3 15000 trees had been planted, with an annual output of 6900 tons. * * 2 13 collective gardening fields have been built, including 2 state-owned farms, 25 township farms and 65438+ village farms.
1In September, 1984, the county party committee formulated the economic development strategic plan of "orange in the south and tea in the north and tung in the middle", and decided to focus on developing citrus, the main cash crop in the county. 1986 1 month, the county citrus production office was established. From 1986 to 1987, Shimen county built 16900 mu international standard early-maturing Wenzhou tangerine orchard in 87 villages of 17 townships with special loans from the World Bank and matching funds at the provincial, prefectural and county levels. 1February, 1987, the people's government of Hunan Province approved Shimen as the export base county of early-maturing citrus. 1September 1987, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture identified Shimen County as the national citrus export base county. By the end of 1989, the county's citrus has grown to 103900 mu, with an annual output of 3 10000 tons.
Passion is burning like a raging fire, and the citrus industry in Shimen is advancing like an "emu".
During the period of 1995, the output of Shimen citrus reached 53,000 tons, the output value exceeded 1 100 million yuan for the first time, and the tax revenue of specialty products exceeded10 million yuan, making outstanding contributions.
1998 10, Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics named Shimen as "the first county of fruit production in Hunan Province".
1999165438+1October 25th is a milestone in the history of Shimen citrus. On this day, Chen Wenhao, then secretary of the county party Committee (now mayor of Changde), presided over the second plenary (enlarged) meeting of the Eighth Shimen County Committee, and discussed and adopted the decision on strengthening the construction of agricultural pillar industries and starting the "second venture" of citrus industry. The county government decided to invest 1 10,000 yuan in the citrus industry every year, focusing on solving the deep-seated problems that plague the industrial upgrading and realizing "citrus strong county". From June 5, 2000 to 10, Shimen county hosted the 2000 academic annual meeting of China Citrus Society.
By 2009, the citrus area in Shimen has reached 44 1 10,000 mu, and the output in that year is expected to exceed 400,000 tons, and the comprehensive output value will exceed 600 million yuan.
In the golden autumn of October, Shimen Mountain is full of gold, full of silver and red and orange everywhere, which is pleasing to the eye. 300,000 orange farmers live happily in the intoxicating orange forest of "eating orange rice, living in orange buildings, reading orange books, marrying orange wives and enjoying orange music". In the autumn of 2005, Tan Tan, a famous writer, vice chairman of Chinese Writers Association and chairman of Hunan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, came to Shimen to feel the wonderful life brought by citrus to the people in Shanxiang. He wrote the essay Sweet Shimen with passion. "Shimen gives people the feeling that it is a very warm place. When people think of this place, they think that the air there has the citrus flavor of "My Sweetie", which is fascinating.
"Good foundation, enterprising spirit, perseverance and pursuit of innovation have cast the' deep roots' of Shimen citrus industry". Wu Linzhi, deputy magistrate in charge of agriculture, explained the wisdom and secrets of starting a business.
