Article 11 The exit-entry administration department of the public security organ shall decide whether to approve or disapprove the application for going to Hong Kong and Macao within 60 days, and notify the applicant.

Twelfth mainland citizens who have been approved to settle in Hong Kong and Macao shall be issued a pass to Hong Kong and Macao by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ. The holder shall cancel the account at the local police station before going to Hong Kong and Macao, and go to Hong Kong and Macao within the specified time. Mainland citizens who have been approved to travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao for a short period of time shall be issued with travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao. The holder shall go within the specified time and return on schedule.
