Brief introduction of Cape Verde
Cape Verde is located on the Cape Verde Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, more than 500 kilometers east of Cape Verde (in Senegal) at the westernmost tip of the African continent. It is a transportation hub between Europe and South America and South Africa, including San Antonio, San Nicolas, Sal, boavista, Fogo and Santiago 15 islands, which are divided into two groups: windward islands in the north and leeward islands in the south. The national language is Creole. Although Cape Verde lacks natural resources, it has become a comfortable country in Africa due to its small population, political stability and booming tourism, and its quality of life ranks among the best in African countries. In addition to tourism, the main economic sources are immigrant remittances, agriculture and so on. Cape Verde's largest trading partner is Portugal, and its other trading partners are the European Union, the United States, Brazil and China. Cape Verde formally joined the WTO on July 23rd, 2008.
