Chongqing Wanzhou Immigrant Development Zone (Wanzhou District) is located in the east of Chongqing, at the junction of the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and in the center of the Three Gorges reservoir area, with an area of 24,000 square kilometers and a population of 7.38 million. It governs Kaixian, Zhongxian, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wushan and Wuxi counties.
