Britain's ten-year visit visa was changed to ten-year permanent residence as follows.

1. The applicant must have lived legally in the UK for at least ten consecutive years.

2. The cumulative number of departure days in recent ten years shall not exceed 540 days, and the single departure shall not exceed 180 days.

3. The applicant has a good immigration history and no illegal or criminal record.

4. The applicant meets the requirements of the naturalization test.

5. In the past ten years, the applicant has not overstayed for more than 28 days or more in violation of the immigration law.
