★ Chongming River Crossing Passage
The idea of building Chongming River Crossing Channel 1993 was formally put forward. After 10 years of discussion, the proposal of Chongming River-crossing Tunnel Project was finally approved by the State Council in February 2003. In mid-August, 2004, the feasibility study report of Chongming River Crossing Project was officially approved by the State Council Development and Reform Commission in mid-August. The project includes Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel, Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge, Chongqi Bridge, Chonghai Bridge and related connecting roads (see schematic diagram), with a total investment of 654.38+0.23 billion yuan, which is an important part of the Shanghai-Xi 'an Highway in the national key highway construction plan determined by the Ministry of Communications. It connects No.5 ditch in Pudong District (east line) and Luo Jing in Baoshan District (west line) in the south, passes through Changxing Island and Chongming Island, connects Haimen City and Qidong City in Jiangsu Province in the north, and is connected with Ningtongqi Expressway in Jiangsu Province. First, the east line will be implemented, with the direction of: Pudong No.5 ditch-Changxing Island-Chongming Chenjia Town-Chongming Connecting Expressway-Chongming Niupeng Port-Jiangsu Haimen Qinglong Port-Jiangsu Ningtongqi Expressway, with a total length of about 106 km. On February 28th, 2004, the foundation stone was laid for Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel and Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge on the East Line. On August 30th, 2005, a bank loan of 76160,000 yuan was obtained. Since then, the progress of the project will be greatly accelerated. The Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel, with a total length of 8.95km, starts from the Ring Road Interchange (Far East Avenue-Wuzhou Avenue) in the suburb of No.5 ditch in Pudong, crosses the waters of Nangang, lands on Xinkai River in Changxing Island, and connects with the Yuan Pan Highway Interchange in Changxing Island. The length of the circular shield section of the tunnel is 6.97 kilometers, and the tunnel is arranged in two directions with six lanes. Between the two circular tunnels, one transverse passage is freely set every1.2km, with 4 transverse passages * * *; The diameter of shield tunnel is15.2m, which is the largest shield tunnel in the world. The total length of Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge is10.27km, starting from the north bank of Changxing Island, crossing the waters of Beigang, landing at Xijiagang of Chongming Island, and connecting with Chongming Chen Hai Highway Interchange. The main navigation hole and auxiliary navigation hole of the bridge are cable-stayed bridges with a main span of 670 meters.

The total length of the main bridge is 2088 meters, and the main span of the cable-stayed bridge is 1088 meters, which is about 200 meters longer than the Japanese Totoro Bridge, which is the largest span in the world at present. The tower of this bridge is 300.4m high, which is the first Gao Qiao tower in the world, nearly100m higher than the existing tallest tower in China. The buried depth of the bridge foundation is 80 meters and the navigation clearance height is 62 meters. A 50,000-ton container ship can pass under the bridge. The design wind speed of the bridge is 47m/s, which is twice that of Typhoon 12. After the completion of this bridge, it will become the longest span cable-stayed bridge in the world (cable-stayed bridge is one of all kinds of bridges, and its spanning capacity is second only to suspension bridge). Construction of the bridge started on June 27, 2003, and the construction of pile foundation and main pier cap was completed in May 2005. At present, the cable tower construction is in progress. The bridge is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2008.
★ Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge
Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge, a highway bridge, is a suspension bridge that was "the first in China and the fourth in the world" (now the second in China and the fifth in the world) in the 20th century. At present, the longest span bridge in the world is the Akashi Strait Bridge, which connects Honshu and Shikoku, Japan, with a main span of 199 1m and was built at 1998. The second bridge in Denmark, with a main span of 1624m, 1998 was completed. The suspension bridge with a larger span under construction in China is Zhoushan Xihoumen Bridge, with a main span of 1650m, which will be the first in China and the second in the world). It is a super-large highway bridge across the Yangtze River. It is the second bridge across the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province. The bridge is a river-crossing "throat" project in the backbone of the "two vertical and two horizontal" highway planned by the state before 2000. It is the trunk line from Tongjiang in Heilongjiang to Sanya in Hainan and the trunk line from Beijing to Shanghai. It is a key infrastructure construction project of the state and Jiangsu Province.
Jiangyin Yangtze River Highway Bridge is located between Xishan in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province and Shiwei Village in Jingjiang City. The total length of the bridge is 5. 176 km, with a total investment of 3.625 billion yuan. The total length of the bridge is 307 1m, the span layout of the suspension bridge is 369m+ 1385m+309m, the tower height 197m, the diameter of the two main cables is 0.870m, the bridge deck is designed according to the standard of six-lane expressway, the width is 33.8m, and the designed driving speed is100km. The clear navigation height under the bridge is 50 meters, which can meet the navigation requirements of 50,000-ton ships. The bridge started construction on June 22nd, 1994, 165438, and was completed and opened to traffic in September, 1999.
★ Yangzhong Yangtze River Bridge
Highway Bridge Yangzhong Yangtze River Bridge is a bridge with private fund-raising (raised by Yangzhong local government), with a total length of1172m and a width of15m. There are 30 piers and abutments with a total investment of152 million yuan. The bridge was officially started in May 1992 and completed and opened to traffic in May1October 1994. The completion of Yangzhong Yangtze River Bridge ended the history that Yangzhong Island in Jiangsu was connected with the outside world without a bridge. However, the Yangzhong Yangtze River Bridge does not span the north and south of the Yangtze River, but only connects Yangzhong Island in the Yangtze River and the south bank of the Yangtze River (see the map of Yangzhong City for details). Therefore, I personally think that this bridge is not really a "Yangtze River Bridge" across the Yangtze River (there are many Jiang Xindao in the Yangtze River, some of which are close to the river banks, and a bridge of tens of meters or hundreds of meters can be built to connect them. There is another such bridge in Nanjing, but they obviously cannot be called "Yangtze River Bridge". But in the past, Yangzhong Yangtze River Bridge was considered as a typical Yangtze River Bridge in many materials, so it is still listed here. In September, 2002, Yangzhong City started construction of the second Jiajiang Bridge, also known as Yangzhong Second Yangtze River Bridge, which is another connecting bridge between the south bank of the Yangtze River and the island on the east side of the island. The total length of the bridge, including the approach road, is 6.5km, including the main bridge1.755km, and the structural form is an ordinary beam bridge. Yangzhong City held a general meeting on October 28th, 2004 to celebrate the 0/00th anniversary of the establishment of county and city in Yangzhong and the completion and opening of the second Yangtze River Bridge in Yangzhong. In view of the fact that "Yangzhong Second Yangtze River Bridge" does not cross the Yangtze River and is not the main channel across the Yangtze River, it is no longer listed as a Yangtze River Bridge alone.
