Malaysia allows short-term Chinese citizens in Malaysia (only in West Malaysia) to extend their stay

Malaysia is a very popular tourist country with a typical tropical climate in Southeast Asia. There are many islands here and the well-established tourism industry has attracted a large number of Chinese tourists. After the outbreak of the new pneumonia epidemic, China has been restricted Many flights have been grounded to allow tourists to enter the country. Recently, Malaysia has allowed stranded Chinese tourists to extend their local visas.

According to the website of the Embassy in Malaysia, the number of flights to and from domestic cities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and other places has been reduced recently, causing the itinerary of some short-term Chinese citizens in Malaysia to be affected and unable to return home as scheduled. Considering the actual difficulties of Chinese citizens and the fact that eNTRI or eVISA cannot be extended in principle, the Malaysian Embassy actively communicates and coordinates with the Malaysian Immigration Bureau on the issue of extending the period of stay for Chinese citizens.

The Malaysian Immigration Bureau fully understands and actively supports this, and agrees to extend the period of stay for short-term Chinese citizens (Western Malaysia only) who meet certain conditions during the special period and issue corresponding Special
