Notes on Reclaiming Tarim (17): Aksu River Bridge full of soldiers

The Tarim River is 2179 kilometers long, which is formed by the confluence of the Yarkant River, Hotan River, Kashigar River and Aksu River. It is the largest inland river in China.

Because of the large sediment concentration in the meltwater from the iceberg, the riverbed is very unstable, so it is called "wild horse without rein".

Aksu River Bridge was completed in 219. To the north of the bridge is Matan Town, Aral 7th Regiment, 1st Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. It runs through G58 National Road and connects Aral 7th Regiment to the Taklimakan Desert, the second largest desert in the world. To the south of the bridge, there are awat, Xianglong Lake and Dao Lang Tribal Scenic Area in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Musalaisi, the key project of western development. The completion of the bridge has shortened Alar.

I live in Matan Town, No.1 Division, No.7 Regiment, and I am one of the biggest beneficiaries of this bridge. My father and sister live in Awati County, Xinjiang. Because there is a river (Aksu River) between Matan Town, No.1 Division, No.7 Regiment and awat, in the past, to visit relatives in awat, I had to pass through No.15 Brigade and No.16 Brigade in Aksu Halata Town, Tarim River Gate, Xiakan in awat and Fengshou, with a journey distance of about 55 kilometers.

It takes 55 minutes to get to awat from Matan Town, Qituan. We have to thank the Party and the government for doing another practical thing for the benefit of the Corps and the local government, which is beneficial to the present and the future.
