What is the Australia 187 visa?

187 visa can be applied at home and abroad. It is a combined visa of the original 1 19 and 857. It belongs to the employer-sponsored immigration project in remote areas of Australia.

187 There are three types of visas * *:

1. Temporary residence transition stream is applicable to applicants with 457 visas who have been nominating and working for their current employers for more than 2 years, and their employers intend to provide a permanent position.

2. Apply for Direct Entry stream directly, which is applicable to applicants who have never worked in Australia or worked for a short time and have not held a 457 visa for only 2 years.

3. Agreement flow, applicable to applicants who have obtained employer's guarantee through labor agreement or regional immigration agreement.

187 visa application conditions:

Nomination of employers in remote areas of Australia;

Under 50 years old;

Additional requirements for temporary residence to permanent residence category:

No vocational assessment is required;

IELTS is not less than 4 5s;

Hold a 457 visa.

Additional requirements for direct application for permanent residence category:

Require to pass the vocational assessment;

IELTS is not less than 4 sixes.

Additional requirements for categories of labor contracts:

If you apply for this category, you need to meet the age, occupation and English requirements stipulated in the agreement.

187 visa application process

Applicants must first submit EOI in SkillSelect system.

If it is nominated by the employer, you need to submit the application online within 6 months and pay the application fee of 3060 Australian dollars.

Relevant supporting materials need to be submitted together with the online application. Please refer to 187 visa application materials list for the required materials.

Spouses and children can be included in the application. If 18-year-old spouse or accompanying children do not reach the IELTS total score of 4.5, they will have to pay an extra 4,250 Australian dollars for language learning.

The applicant needs a physical examination, and the accompanying persons above 16 need proof of no crime. In the process of visa acceptance, the applicant's work and personal information changes need to be notified to the Immigration Bureau in time.
