2. Different examination methods

IELTS is a written test or a computer test, and there is an official question bank. Every time, topics are selected from the question bank, which means that some questions appear repeatedly in the exam, that is, new questions are often added to the old questions.

TOEFL is a computer test, and every part has the same problem; Manual grading ensures the fairness and rationality of the exam.

3. Different exam fees

The average cost of IELTS test is 1960 yuan, including 2000 yuan for visa and immigration in the UK and 1500 yuan for life skills test.

4. Different examination times

The total time of IELTS test is 2 hours and 54 minutes; Oral 1 1~ 14 minutes, listening 30+ 10 minutes (including 10 minutes to answer questions), reading 60 minutes and writing 60 minutes.

The total time of TOEFL test is about 4 hours; 20 minutes for oral English, 50 minutes for writing, 60-80 minutes for reading and 60-90 minutes for listening.

5. Different test scores

The total score of IELTS is 9, and each of the four items is 9. The final score of IELTS test is the sum of four individual scores divided by 4. The score required to go abroad is generally 5.5~6.5 points.

The IELTS speaking test requires students to listen and answer questions. The last four questions in TOEFL oral test are more complicated. IELTS writing requires writing two compositions in an hour, with a short composition of 20 minutes and a big composition of 40 minutes. Just look at the topic and write a composition. 7. Different examination processes

IELTS is more valuable than TOEFL, because more countries in the world accept IELTS scores than TOEFL.
