Yancheng is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, an important regional central city in the Yangtze River Delta, the main birthplace of Huai Opera, the hometown of red-crowned cranes and elk, and has the reputation of "the wetland capital of the East, the world of cranes and deer" and "the land of plenty".

Yancheng borders Nantong, Yangzhou and Taizhou, connects with Huai 'an, faces Lianyungang across the Guanhe River. Famous scenic spots include China Elk Garden, New Fourth Army Memorial Hall, Dafeng Holland Flower Sea, Haitian Lotus Fragrance, Dazong Lake and so on.

Yancheng's population is mostly descendants of immigrants from the south of the Yangtze River, and it was a land of pregnancy before the week. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, it belonged to the State of Chen, and Yancheng County was built. In the early Qing Dynasty, it belonged to jiangnan province, and Yancheng was established on 1945.
