During the Song Dynasty, Uzbeks moved from Central Asia to China, and Kashgar was one of the earliest cities in Xinjiang. Historically, many large-scale ethnic migrations were mostly due to the influence of war, famine or harsh environment. However, Uzbeks moved from another land? Immigrants? Uzbeks are very good at import and export trade, and they are also engaged in more sought-after goods on the Silk Road: silk, porcelain, tea and so on. In the Qing Dynasty, Uzbek caravans also traveled between West Asia and Xinjiang, which was once very brilliant. In this way, it took four or five hundred years for Uzbek farmers, herdsmen and handicrafts to move to Kashgar.

Until today, most Uzbeks in Xinjiang live in cities and towns, and there are relatively few Uzbeks in rural areas.

Therefore, the Uzbeks they came into contact with when traveling in Xinjiang are very different from other ethnic groups in temperament, appearance and overall family situation. They give people the impression that they are rich and heroic. During my trip to Kashgar, Xinjiang, I found that the richer ethnic minority families are, the more they are? Hero? They will entertain relatives and friends in grand festivals, hold gorgeous carnival parties on important days such as weddings, and make friends from other places? See? They will warmly invite them in and tell the whole story of their family harmony. In the mainland, this practice is likely to be misunderstood as? Show off? For ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, this is a way for them to show their pride, beauty, happiness and hope: Look, this is my home. It's really great, isn't it!

Uzbek wedding

On the wedding day, my friends and I arrived as promised. It turns out that the Uzbek uncle I met before is the father of the groom's official. He told us that when Uzbeks get married, the man should also give a bride price and prepare a new house, and the money for marriage should be paid by the man. This is quite similar to the marriage custom tradition in the mainland. The woman's family can accompany her, so it is good to prepare some home decorations, electrical appliances and other accessories. However, once an Uzbek couple gets married, what will their husbands do? Monopoly? Property control is decided by the man.

In the past, Uzbeks' weddings were very complicated, and they had to be held for many days, during which they had to entertain friends, visit relatives and friends, exchange gifts and dance. Group dance? And many other links, the process is cumbersome, but now it is much simplified. The wedding we attended was the carnival of the man's family in the morning, the gathering of the woman's sister group in the afternoon and the ceremony of the hotel in the evening. This hotel has opened my eyes, and I will explain it in detail later. This is the first time I have seen so many Uzbek girls get together to attend the family dinner of these men.

Their looks are obviously different from those of Uighurs. Their facial features are more three-dimensional and exquisite, their faces are more angular and their skin is very fair. Even when people reach middle age, they are plump and round, and still maintain a beautiful face. Apart from their appearance, their home is also beautiful.

The new home of Uzbek people

Knowing that the new house was upstairs in the neighborhood next door, we asked the host if he could visit their house, and the host readily accepted. From the outside, the new house is no different from ordinary residential buildings, but as soon as we entered the room, we were amazed at once. This is simply the room where the princess lives in a fairy tale!

Round white gauze curtains poured down from the roof and spread around the bed. The bed curtain is inlaid with pink gauze flowers, surrounded by strong colors, as if being in the set of a movie. My uncle told us that many decorations and household items at home are handmade, and some are made by women in their own homes. In the past years, Uzbek women's hand embroidery has enjoyed a long reputation, and their lace and silk handicrafts, including hand-made carpets, are rich in? Iraqi style? Features, exquisite and gorgeous. The house has no white walls, but is surrounded by closets and niches. Rich and gorgeous colors, complex and wonderful patterns and varied forms.

The male host said that every carpet laid in their home is very expensive, and it is more than 10,000 yuan at a glance. In addition, there are carefully collected glass products worth thousands of dollars. Uzbeks' decoration collocation feels irregular, and richness, gorgeous and gorgeous are the main external manifestations.

Kashgar people's five-star hotel?

This can be said to be the most rewarding day of my trip to Kashgar. We didn't know until the evening that the place where the ceremony was held at home was a very famous hotel in Kashgar: Knight Grand View Garden.

This place is more than just a couple's room? Shocked? . The locals say that although there is no access here? Star? But it is recognized as the best restaurant in the eyes of Kashgar people, so-called? Kashgar people's five-star hotel? .

Can the interior decoration of Knight Grand View Garden be used? Luxury? Describe resplendent and magnificent, like a huge palace.

There are several thick pillars in the temple, and the patterns on the pillars are arranged in two consecutive directions, but if you look closely, the thickness of each pattern is different, which is carved by craftsmen.

The building area of this hotel is over 4000 square meters. Looking down from the fence on the second floor, the decoration of each wall and niche is different, including the design of the ceiling, which is different according to different regions, and every detail is unique. It will take three to five years to shape these decorations by hand, and it will never be finished.

I didn't know there was such a place in Kashgar. This one? Exquisite and luxurious? It seems that it is not as simple as a hotel, but a dream castle pieced together by designers with hundreds of patterns.

The bride, wearing a white gauze, has obviously been sitting quietly for a long time. At first glance, I thought she was wearing a wedding dress, but there are still some differences between this white gauze and the traditional western wedding dress. In addition, the bride wears a lot of gold jewelry with her. They say that the more gold, the more women? Is it expensive? .

In Uzbek customs, jewelry collocation is very particular. Do you wear jewelry? Rules? This is the etiquette that every Uzbek woman must master. Even the little girl wears beautiful ornaments.

Every girl in this country is beautiful. The little hats on their heads are called Dopa, some are quadrangular and some are round, which are exclusive accessories for Uzbek women.

It is said that Uzbeks don't want it? Close relatives can't get married? It is said that even cousins can marry. I don't know whether this statement is true or not, but due to the small population, most Uzbeks in Kashgar are married to Uighurs. They have the same beliefs, similar national habits and food culture.

But this time I didn't see the legendary Uzbek? Do you have to eat when you get married? Judging from the French fries, jiaozi and stir-fried dishes on the dining table, their dining habits have gradually become China-like.
