So why didn't the locusts enter China this time? There are two main reasons.

Vegetation in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is scarce.

If those locusts want to enter China, they must first reach the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and we all know how bad the geographical conditions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are. The vegetation there is not enough for hundreds of millions of locusts to eat. Maybe the locusts starved to death before flying over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

The temperature in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is low.

Moreover, locusts are very sensitive to temperature, and the temperature in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is not the temperature on which locusts live at all. I think one of the important reasons why India suffered from locust plague this time is that the temperature in India is relatively high and it is a better refuge for locusts.

If we have to assume that the locusts entered China this time, the route must be through Mengdu, then to Bengal, and then through Myanmar to Yunnan. Even when locusts arrive in China, they will stay in some southern provinces in order to meet their living conditions. Because China has also suffered from locust plague, during this period, China should take protective measures and be vigilant. After all, there are locusts in this locust plague. If it does fly, China will still suffer some losses.
