Roald dahl 19 16 was born in South Wales, England. His parents are Norwegian immigrants. He was educated in England and attended three schools (including Lipton). He was deeply influenced by western cultural traditions in his childhood and read aloud for children. He graduated from high school and served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He was shot and injured on the plane and transferred to the embassy in Washington as an assistant air attache, about 1940. He wrote the first children's book Leprechaun on 1943. After his eldest daughter was born, he began to tell her stories every night. With the birth of five children with his wife, who is an actor, his story grows day by day. However, her eldest daughter died of measles encephalitis at the age of seven.

Roald dahl (19 16- 1990) was an English writer in the 20th century. Before he wrote children's literature, he wrote a lot of adult literature, so he won the Allen Poe Literature Prize three times.
