Employment orientation: This major mainly trains students to systematically master the basic theories, business knowledge, management methods and skills of modern market economy, international economy and international trade, be familiar with the prevailing international trade rules and practices, as well as China's foreign trade policies and regulations, be able to predict business trends, and skillfully use foreign languages and computers to carry out foreign trade business. Lingnan College is the earliest college of Sun Yat-sen University. There are six undergraduate majors in economics, finance, international business, finance, economic management, risk management and insurance. The college has a strong faculty with rich teaching experience, strong sense of responsibility and high level of teaching and scientific research. The college has 90 full-time teachers, including 27 professors and 24 doctoral supervisors. Nearly 80% of the teachers have an international academic background.

The college has achieved fruitful results in teaching and scientific research, and has the right to award doctoral programs in theoretical economics, master programs in applied economics and doctoral programs in finance and finance. The majors of international economy, trade and finance were rated as famous brands of universities in Guangdong Province. The college implements the practice of combining general education with classified training. At present, basic specialized courses and specialized courses basically adopt textbooks commonly used by famous foreign universities.

Second, the internationalization of teaching means and methods. The college actively promotes bilingual and all-English teaching. We regularly invite senior professors from famous foreign universities such as Harvard to hold "Teaching Seminar Program" to help our teachers master the international advanced teaching methods.

Third, the internationalization of teaching management. Learn from the experience of famous foreign universities, establish a scientific, reasonable and efficient teaching management system by improving the teaching management system, establishing a career development mechanism and combining with their own characteristics.

Fourthly, the internationalization of educational resource allocation. Make full use of international resources to make up for the shortage of domestic educational resources, and actively strive for generous donations from Lingnan alumni, the board of directors, the Lingnan Foundation of the United States and all walks of life, so that the college has first-class teaching and research hardware facilities in China. The Institute and AIA jointly established AIA -CUHK Actuarial Center and North American Actuarial Examination Center to train actuarial talents for the domestic and foreign insurance industry.

Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University-Oracle Bone Inscriptions-Sun "Digital Management Laboratory" was jointly established by Lingnan College, Oracle Bone Inscriptions Company and Sun Company. Digital management laboratory integrates management concepts and management systems such as ERP, ERPII, e-commerce and e-government. , which embodies the latest achievements in information development. The system includes many large modules such as logistics management, production and operation management, marketing, human resource management, accounting, enterprise finance and administrative management.
