A trip to Nanaimo, vancouver island

My husband and I have been preparing for a long trip to Canada, and we can finally go. I'm so excited that I can't sleep well a few days in advance.

? The main places to go are Vancouver and vancouver island, and my son is at Vancouver Island University. The main purpose of this trip is to visit our son, inspect the geographical environment, customs and economic development of these two places, and make plans for his future stay.

? Vancouver is a city that has sprung up suddenly because of immigrants from China. There are many Chinese in Richmond, Burnham and Sori, and restaurants, supermarkets, clothing stores, gas stations and hotels run by Chinese are everywhere, which is equivalent to a Chinese community. There is a saying that you can live without speaking English.

The climate and temperature here are most suitable for people to live in, because it is at the southernmost tip of Canada, close to the sea. The air quality is good and the temperature is suitable. The hottest in summer is no more than 30 degrees, and the coldest in winter is no more than zero degrees. It seems that the four seasons are not so clear. After summer is winter, and the whole summer is equivalent to the spring and autumn days in our place.

? Vancouver island, where my son lives, is quieter, and there is not even the noise of cars coming and going on the pier. We stayed at the BEST WESTERN Hotel on the pier. When we open the window, we can see the sea. At night, it's so quiet here that we can't even hear the car horn. During the day, we can only hear the motor sound when the seaplane takes off and lands.

Located in Nanaimo, the pier is the gateway to Vancouver. Because Victoria, the capital city of Vancouver, is on the island, there is a huge flow of people at the pier. The environment on the island is elegant, spotless, the roads are spacious, flowers are in full bloom, and lush and mysterious virgin forests can be seen everywhere. Mr. Wang was eager to find a golf course, so we went to the seaside golf course near the hotel. Ah! ? The lawn is really like a carpet, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. Husband is also fascinated, saying that he will come and play a game tomorrow!

The next afternoon, my son and his girlfriend and I went to play golf with my husband. I caddied for the first time and played nine holes with him all the time. Because I was late, I couldn't play 18 hole. I know how golf is played.

On the court, there are really geese walking, squirrels jumping, wild deer and rabbits roaming freely, walking, stopping or lying as if they were their own territory, which is incredible in China!

I am fascinated by the scenery here. Can be said to be a collection of natural beauty. The sea, distant mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, beaches, garden houses and lawns are all extremely finely trimmed, especially the greens. I think it's better than high-end carpet. Stepping on the soft grass, I feel that I have fallen into the arms of Mother Earth. While playing ball, enjoying the beautiful scenery around you is really eye-catching, heart-nourishing and fitness!

Unlike in China, golf is no longer a minority sport, and the threshold is not so high, but a sport for ordinary people. There is no admission fee, you can play when you come, and the fee is very low. You can basically play for free. Without caddies, they all pull their own bags, or two or three or four people accompany them. The most common thing is that couples play together, that is, exercise and improve their feelings. I once met a couple in Korea, about 40 years old. They come to play almost every day and always nod and say hello when they see us.

Although Mr. Wang has played many stadiums at home and abroad, he is still fascinated by the stadium here, saying that it is the best stadium he has ever seen and much better than the American stadium. I can't play ball, so I can only follow my husband to pull the bag for him and act as his caddy, but I am very happy, full, satisfied and not tired at all. I am not afraid of the sun, and there are towering trees to protect you from the sun. The fairway is lined with towering trees. I think it should be a forest, which was preserved when the stadium was created. The fairway was separated and the sea breeze blew, not to mention how cool it was.

I like the green grass, the stadium and the forest stadium by the sea!

Nanaimo deserves to be ranked first in the world in air quality. The people who live here are really blessed. It seems that God loves them deeply.

Canadians' cultural literacy and comprehensive quality are relatively high. Drivers are generally polite to pedestrians, and pedestrians in Lu Yu are polite whether they know them or not. They greet you with a smile and nod to let you go first. When we were in Vancouver, a Canadian in front wanted to take the elevator. As soon as he looked back and saw us behind, he pressed the elevator door with one hand and motioned to us with the other hand, smiling and nodding, which made us feel very warm. We were walking in the seaside park at night, and pedestrians in Lu Yu kept saying "hello, hello"? Say hello to us. Many old couples go out for a walk hand in hand, while China and his wife mostly walk side by side or tandem. The most interesting thing is that I met a young couple. They were holding a kiss selflessly, but as soon as they turned around and saw us, they stopped and waved to say hello to us.

Canada is a typical society ruled by law. People work very hard. I saw a street cleaner working from morning till noon, washing roads with water and using machines. One night, we came back late, walking in the street, and saw a policeman on duty at night, meticulous. Government workers should do what they should do, and they will never treat guests and give gifts because of their official duties. They won't even smoke a cigarette from you. People only work the prescribed eight hours and get off work at one o'clock without a minute's delay. Extended working hours require double overtime pay, and so do holidays. We all expect to make money by doing business on weekends. On weekends, most people rest at home or go out to play, and rarely come out to work at this time, so the streets are deserted on holidays.

There are few high-rise buildings in Vancouver and vancouver island, including Victoria. People usually live in two or three-story villas or conjoined villas, with neatly trimmed lawns and flowers in front of and behind the houses. Every family seems to live in the park. Primitive forests can be seen everywhere, and we also went to see several rooms with lake views. There is a lake in front of the house, and the yacht stops directly in the lake. The indoor furnishings and outdoor scenery surprised us. It's the first time to see such a gorgeous and beautiful house!

This time I went to Canada, my son and his girlfriend were our translators, and my son was a driver and a tour guide. It was amazing. I feel very proud. My son has just been out for less than a year and can communicate directly with foreigners. Although I am not fluent, I have no problem communicating and can understand everything. Even if he went to Vancouver to do business and book a hotel, he was humble and confident. When I praised him for his good English, he also said modestly that this was only a superficial exchange, and in another year, he could have in-depth exchanges with foreigners. I am glad to find that my son has changed. He is a little shy and stage fright at home, but he has made great progress and become more confident after exercising abroad for a year. Even his classmates went to the garage to buy a car and repair it, so that he could talk to foreigners.

My son's girlfriend is good, too. She is considerate and has a good relationship with her son. I'm relieved. The fruit platter she carefully prepared for us made me feel very warm!

My husband and I really had a good time. When we went to Nanaimo, there was an authentic Chinese restaurant, which had just opened for a week and the food was delicious. My son said that before that, they would go out to eat, so they could only eat Vietnamese noodles, Thai noodles, Japanese set meals and western food. We go to this restaurant for dinner almost every day and are very familiar with the boss. One night, we talked for a long time while drinking together. He related his experience. He has been abroad for more than 20 years. He used to be a navy and sneaked in. When I first came here, I had to be an illegal worker and suffered a lot. It's very difficult, how to get to today's bureau and so on. He is a good cook, and he does it seriously and sincerely. He is the soul of his shop. Although it has just opened, the business is not bad, and many foreigners come. I'm sure his restaurant business will prosper. I didn't expect to eat such authentic Chinese food here, which is really gratifying, but the price is much more expensive than that in China. My son's girlfriend also said that people can't stand eating in restaurants like us every day. ...

In the middle of dinner, he smiled and served four zongzi, saying that today is the Dragon Boat Festival. I didn't expect to eat zongzi in a foreign country. In addition, we forgot that today is the Dragon Boat Festival, and I was a little touched.

One day, we went fishing in the sea. I didn't expect this fishing trip to make me suffer. This trip to sea was introduced by a waiter from China in our hotel. Earlier, I said that renting a yacht in Haiyitian only costs more than 200 Canadian dollars, which is quite cheap. If we are lucky, we are likely to hit tuna in the deep sea. We were very moved to hear that. But not long after we went out to sea, the wind blew and the waves rolled. Soon I began to get seasick, feeling my insides tumbling over the river, vomiting all the time, and then looking at the sea. We had to close the net and go home in a hurry. When I came back, I closed the net and saw that I only caught a few crabs. There are rules for them to go fishing in the sea. If the caught fish and crabs don't meet the specified size, they can't be taken out and put back into the sea. 1000 RMB only harvested a few crabs, and we shouted and fell for it. We took those crabs to a Chinese restaurant and asked the boss to help us cook. He said that according to the regulations here, fish, shrimps and crabs salvaged from the sea can't directly enter the restaurant, but they have to go through food inspection, but it doesn't matter to our own people. Don't let foreigners see it, just send it to the kitchen quietly. His craftsmanship is really good. Soon we will eat two big crabs with different tastes.

The name of his restaurant is also easy to remember. It is called "Datang Restaurant".

One morning, my son and his party went to the lake to see the land. At first glance, there are golden flowers in full bloom on both sides of the road, which are connected in large groups, and set each other off with the surrounding green grasslands and dense forests. My son said that this scenery is really exciting, and my heart has long been shocked by this magnificence!

There is a farm by the lake and a pasture on the right. There are several cows grazing leisurely in the pasture. It really feels like the happiness of the cows here. It can look up and enjoy the blue sky and white clouds, bathe in plenty of sunshine and rain, overlook the blue lakes, green grasslands, magnificent forests and distant mountains and seas, breathe fresh air, chew fresh weeds on the ground leisurely, and its ass does not need to be adjusted.

A breeze blew, and there was a faint smell of cow dung, mixed with grass and flowers, which was the unique smell of Canadian pastures.

Mr. Wang has been to many countries, but he has the best impression of Canada. He said that this is the most livable place, far better than the United States, which is too impetuous, chaotic and arrogant, but it is quiet and peaceful, with beautiful environment, rich resources, suitable climate and social stability. People are content with the status quo, content with happiness, and have a high degree of civilization. It is an ideal country, and I like this country, especially Nana Mo on Vancouver Island.
