Why are there so many Chinese in Malaysia?

As early as the Han Dynasty, China had commercial activities and cultural exchanges with the Malay Archipelago. In the Ming Dynasty, Zheng He made several stops in Malacca during his voyage to the West, and some Chinese began to settle in Malacca because of intermarriage with local people. During the British colonial policy of "divide and rule" in Malaya, a large number of China immigrants entered Malaya. It is estimated that from 19 to 194, 12 million China immigrants entered Malaya. Among these immigrants, men account for a large proportion, which leads to the extremely unstable early Chinese community due to the lack of women. However, over time, these immigrants and their descendants have gradually formed a huge Chinese community in Malaysia.
